Our pets become part of our families and our everyday lives. They greet us at the door, share our routines, and give us a kind of companionship that is difficult to put into words. A custom portrait is a meaningful way to celebrate that bond—preserving not only your pet’s appearance, but also the personality, memories, and emotions that make your relationship unique.
Whether you are celebrating a beloved companion, preserving a special moment, or remembering a pet who is no longer with you, an original painting can help keep that connection close for years to come.
Each portrait is created especially for you from your favorite photographs and painted in oils on a professional-quality surface, with careful attention to your pet’s likeness, personality, and unique character.
How is the process?
1. Share Your Photos
Send me a few clear photographs of your pet, along with their name and anything you would like me to know about their personality.
2. Approve the Plan
Together, we will choose the best reference image, painting size, composition, and background. You will receive the final price and estimated completion date before any work begins. Once you are happy with the plan, a 50% deposit reserves your commission.
3. I Create Your Portrait
Your portrait will be painted in oils on a professional-quality surface. Most commissions are completed within approximately four to six weeks, depending on size and complexity.
4. Review and Receive Your Painting
When the portrait is complete, I will send you a photograph for approval. One round of minor adjustments is included, so you can feel confident about the finished painting. The remaining balance is due only after your approval. Your portrait will then be carefully packaged and shipped as soon as it is dry enough for safe delivery.
Listed prices include one pet, a simple painterly background, and an unframed painting. Additional pets, detailed backgrounds, framing, shipping, and applicable taxes may involve additional costs.
